

About Vena Cava
Phil Gregory, producer of wines from its cellar Vena Cava, its part of the new generation of winemakers in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico. He is exploring new methods of wine making by creating an harmony between high quality grapes of the valley for the emerging market taste.
With more than ten years as a winemaker, Phil is proposing New World wines as Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Zinfandel, different blends like his signature Big Blend made with five different varieties of grapes. There is also a Reserva wine that is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah grapes from organic hectares that are planted around his house which is also the hotel La Villa del Valle. Finally, he is making two different white wines, one rosé wine and an extraordinary sparkling wine Vena Cava Extra Brut Rosé, without sulfites and with the traditional method. Vena Cava wines are available in the best restaurantes in Mexico, DF city, California and New York.
The winery and its vines are in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe surrounded by hills and dramatic landscapes. The sea breezes are helping to protect the bunches and grapes during cold evenings in the Valley. The region has a unique microclimate and the soils filled of minerals are creating an ideal environment for grape growing.
